This week we honor Brandon McCarty of the Clear Creek-Amana Boys Golf team as the Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 of Eastern and Central Iowa Athlete of the Week! McCarty, a junior, finished as the runner-up in the sectional tournament at Amana Colonies Golf Course last Friday shooting a 75(+3). McCarty helped lead the Clipper team to a spot in the district tournament on Friday in Oskaloosa as well. McCarty has one of the state’s top 9-hole stroke averages at 37.44.
