Come run with fire fighters and first responders! The Jefferson Monroe Fire Department is hosting a 5k Run / Walk and free kids fun run. The proceeds support the departments ability to afford new tools, safety gear and training to continue to protect those in the Corridor.

The Jefferson Monroe Fire department is not run by a local government and must raise its own funding to continue to operate in it’s supported coverage of the Eastern Iowa airport, 380, Swisher, Shueyville and parts of the Coralville Reservoir. This is a 100% volunteer group in which all members have primary and even secondary occupations besides responding to those in need. This fundraiser is one of two the department can set aside enough time to host for fund raising
