This week we honor the IC High Basketball team as our Carpenters Union, Local 308 in Cedar Rapids, Local 1260 in Iowa City and Local 678 in Waterloo/Dubuque “Corridor Spotlight Team of the Week”. The Little Hawks had a terrific week beating the #1 and #2 teams in Class 5A back-to-back. First, the Little Hawks knocked off Cedar Falls on the road 59-54. Then, City High held off cross-town rival IC West 53-40. Senior Ashley Joens had 28 points and 24 points respectively in the victories…which should propel the Little Hawks to the top spot in Class 5A this week.
