This week we honor the Kennedy Girls Swimming and Diving team as our “Metro Spotlight” team of the week. The Cougars won the Mississippi Valley Conference Swimming and Diving meet last Saturday at the University of Iowa Pool by a point and a half, unseating many time defending champion Cedar Falls for the school’s first title since 2007. Kennedy got a title from Jessica Williams in the backstroke and Jayden Lovell in diving, as well as first place in the 200 yard medley relay. The Cougars will swim in the District meet October 27 & 29 at the Linn-Mar Aquatic Center.
