This week we honor Maddy Baxter of the CR Jefferson Volleyball team as the Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 of Eastern and Central Iowa Athlete of the Week! Baxter, a senior, helped the Jefferson J-Hawks to a MVC-Valley Division championship and a berth in the Class 5A State Volleyball Tournament. Baxter was named a unanimous 1st Team All-MVC-Valley Division selection and was top 10 in the state in assists for the year. The J-Hawks will play fellow MVC foe Linn-Mar next week at the State Volleyball Tournament in CR.
