This week we honor Neely Maurus of the Iowa City Liberty Girls Golf team as the Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 of Eastern and Central Iowa Athlete of the Week! Maurus, a sophomore, was the medalist in the Girls Crandic Golf Tournament held Wednesday at Brown Deer Golf Course in Coralville. Maurus shot an 83 for 18 holes, which included an eagle on the par 5 15th hole. Maurus leads the Lightning with a stroke average of 42.5 for 9 holes.
