This week we honor Patrick McCaffery of the Iowa City West Boys Basketball team as the Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 of Eastern and Central Iowa Athlete of the Week! McCaffery, a senior, scored 29 points in the Trojans 73-59 victory over Dubuque Wahlert on Wednesday night and in the process became the all-time scoring leader at West. McCaffery broke the record held by Glen Worley and currently has 1,452 points for his career. McCaffery, an Iowa recruit, is averaging 26.6 points a game to lead the MVC-Valley Division champion Trojans.
