This week we honor the Prairie Wrestling team as our “Metro Spotlight Team of the Week”. The Hawks won their 5th consecutive Mississippi Valley Conference Tournament title in Waterloo on January 28. The Hawks crowned a pair of champions in 106 pounder Conrad Braswell and Trenton Wennermark at 132 pounds. Prairie will compete this Saturday in the Class 3A District meet hosted by Mount Pleasant, the top two individuals at each weight class advance to the State Tournament in Des Moines.
