This week we honor the CR Prairie Wrestling team as our Carpenters Union, Local 308 in Cedar Rapids, Local 1260 in Iowa City and Local 678 in Waterloo/Dubuque “Corridor Spotlight Team of the Week”. The Hawks captured the team championship at the Jack Mendenhall Tournament hosted by Ames last Saturday. Prairie defeated a talented field and edged West Des Moines Valley and Kennedy for the championship. The Hawks picked up a title from 120 pounder Conrad Braswell and runner-up finishes from Trenton Wennermark at 138 and Mike Jasa at 170 pounds. The Hawks will wrestle at the Geneseo Invitational in Illinois this Friday and Saturday.
