This week we honor the IC Liberty Girls Basketball team as our Carpenters Union, Local 308 in Cedar Rapids, Local 1260 in Iowa City and Local 678 in Waterloo/Dubuque “Corridor Spotlight Team of the Week”. The Lightning won their first game in school history on Monday night with a 44-43 win over Mount Vernon. Liberty scored the final 11 points of the game to get the victory. The Lightning were led by Cora Saunders with 15 points including 3 three-point goals.
