This week we honor the Jefferson Softball team as our “Metro Spotlight” Team of the Week. The J-Hawks are heading back to Fort Dodge and the Girls State Softball Tournament after a 6-2 win over Dubuque Hempstead. Jefferson will be the number three seed and will meet Urbandale in a quarter-final next Tuesday night at 7:30. The J-Hawks (38-4) are a power laden crew who set a brand new state of Iowa team Home Run record with 65 entering play next week.
