Contest Rules
KGYM’s Knockout Pool Contest
- No purchase is necessary to enter contest and claim prizes.
- CONTEST DATES: Contest begins 09/10/2014 and ends no later than 12/31/2014, but contest could end before this date in the event that every participant except one has been eliminated in which case that contestant will be declared the winner, and the contest will then be over. Contest winner will be announced no later than 12/31/2014 on KGYM radio.
- CONDITION OF PARTICIPATION: Only one entry per person. Materials submitted become property of KZIA, Inc. All participants must be entered in the contest no later than five minutes prior to kickoff of the Monday Night Football game September 15th, 2014. Winner may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and name and likeness publicity release and a waiver and release of liability. By participating in this contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules. The decision(s) of judges provided by KZIA, Inc., will be final. All taxes and any registration fees or deposits are the sole responsibility of the verified winner.
- ELIGIBILITY: Participation for the prize is open to any individual of 18 years or older, EXCEPT: employees of KZIA, Inc.; persons with a family relationship to those employees (spouse, parent/child, sibling or in-law relationship); owners and or management level employees of advertising agencies in this contest, if applicable; employees of advertising agencies representing sponsors in this contest, if applicable, and employees of the advertising sponsors in this contest, and persons with a family relationship to employees of advertising sponsors in this contest, if applicable. Participants may be required to certify that they meet these qualifications to be eligible (are not otherwise excluded) at time of winning or at time of actual award of prize. If a prize is inadvertently awarded to an individual who does not meet eligibility requirements, individual will not receive the prize and, if the contest has ended, the subsequent awarding of a prize may be made at the discretion of the judge(s). Each participant must be the rightful owner of the e-mail address identified in the registration form. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed ineligible.
- AWARDING OF PRIZE(S): In order to win, participants must enter their NFL selection at least five minutes before kickoff of the game they are selecting that week. If a game is postponed for any reason, the lock times for that game as stated and apply to the originally scheduled game time. Picking can begin at 8am Tuesday of each week. Picks must be made by going to www.KGYMradio.com, clicking on the KGYM Knockout Pool link, and entering the information required (full name, phone number, email, date of birth, and selection). Each participant must choose a DIFFERENT team each week (i.e.; Participant cannot pick the same team twice during the regular season). For each correct selection, the participant will be credited with a winning selection. Your participation in the contest ends when you make an incorrect selection (e.g., the team you selected loses, ties, or you select a team that you have previously selected during this contest). For the purpose of this contest a tie is equivalent to a loss. If a game were to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the participant would remain eligible to continue the contest until properly eliminated. Once a participant has been eliminated there will be no re-entry into this contest. When one participant correctly guesses a winner in a week in which all other eligible participants have made an incorrect prediction the correct player will be declared the contest winner. In the event that 100 percent of all eligible contestants make an incorrect prediction in the same week, the contest is over and the winner will be chosen by random drawing. In the event of a tie when the NFL regular season concludes on 12/31/2014, the winner will be determined by random drawing. KZIA, Inc. is not responsible for the delivery of prize. The winner must pick up prize at 1110 26th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, IA during business hours of 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
- PRIZE DESCRIPTION(S): There will be one winner of the KGYM Knockout Pool. The winner will receive a recliner from Jeff Jones Furniture valued at $400 (Four Hundred Dollars), a $50 (Fifty dollar) gift card to Hy-Vee, and a handmade trophy. Winner must show valid state-issued identification to claim the prize, and the information thereon must match (with reasonable accommodations made for customary given-name shortening) the information used to enter this contest.
- TRANSFER OF PRIZE: No transfer of prize is permitted.
- LIMITATIONS: The winner is eligible to win only once during each contest and only one winner per household. In general, we allow only one winner eligible per household in any of KGYM’s contests in any thirty (30) day period. However, if a winner wins a separate contest with separate terms within 30 days prior to winning the KGYM Knockout Pool contest, that winner will remain eligible for this contest only. Once a winner has won the KGYM Knockout Pool contest, the 30 day exclusion is in effect for all other KGYM contests. KZIA, Inc. is not responsible for inability to make a selection (internet outage, power outage, wrong selection, etc.)
