This week we honor the Solon Football team as our Carpenters Union, Local 308 in Cedar Rapids, Local 1260 in Iowa City and Local 678 in Waterloo/Dubuque “Corridor Spotlight Team of the Week”. The Spartans raised their record to 8-0 on the year and secured a district title and postseason berth with a 42-7 victory over West Burlington-Notre Dame last Friday . Solon has been led by a terrific duo of running backs in Hunter Kula and Kendrick Harris, plus QB Cam Miller with 18 td passes. The Spartan defense has been great too, allowing only21 points through 8 games.
