David Letterman is no stranger to the state of Iowa. Still, it was eye-opening to see the comedy legend waltz into Carver-Hawkeye Arena Sunday afternoon. Letterman trailed behind former Iowa coach Lisa Bluder and her husband, David, stopping to sign some autographs and chat with fans on the way to their floor-level seats.
Lettermen met Bluder last year at an Indiana Fever game and the two became friends.
The Indiana native seemed to enjoy his return to Big Ten country, at one point pulling out his cell phone to take a picture of himself on the arena’s video board.
In honor of Letterman’s appearance Sunday, allow me to take a page out of Dave’s playbook. Worldwide Pants lawyers will be in touch shortly, I’m sure.
