This week we honor Ashley Joens of the IC High Girls Basketball team as the Sheet Metal Workers Local 263 of Eastern and Central Iowa Athlete of the Week! Joens is the captain and leader of the Class 5A #1 rated Little Hawks. Joens leads the state in scoring at 27.1 points per game shooting 61% from the field including 63% from 3. In addition, Joens pulls down 11 rebounds per game. Ashley will be going to Iowa State next year to play for the Cyclones.
